Connecting Cameras

Select the + Add camera button in the Pelco Elevate web app to start adding cameras.

There are three ways to add a camera:

  • QR Code: scan the QR code on the camera's package or the camera's Web UI on the Elevate tab.

  • Serial Number: enter the camera's 12 digit serial number.

  • Generate Token: generate a token and use it in the camera's web interface.

Scanning the Camera's QR Code

The first option, is to scan the QR code on the camera. The QR code represents the camera's serial number. You can locate it on the actual camera or by logging in to the Pelco Camera Web UI, on the Elevate tab.

  • Click the Scan QR Code button to scan the camera's QR code.

Entering the Camera's Serial Number

Switch to the Serial number tab to use the camera's serial number. Each camera has its own serial number. It is a set of 12 digits and can be entered with hyphens for input accuracy, e.g., 1234-4321-5588.

  1. Enter a serial number in the field.

  2. Click Confirm.

Generating a Token

Switch to the Generate Token tab to use a token. You can enter the token in the camera's web interface on the Elevate tab.

Click Generate token to get a one-time token for your Pelco camera. A token can be used to connect multiple cameras but you can not access the token if you lose it. You can generate as many tokens as you want.

  1. Click Generate a token.

    This token acts as the credentials to connect to your Pelco Elevate account. Do not provide it to anyone who should not have account access.

  2. Click the copy icon in the pop-up window to copy the token. The token is now copied to your clipboard and ready to use.
